It depends upon the language, my friend.; I mean Turkish is agglutinative, we put affixes at the end of verbs as in -ecek (gel-ecek-sin), -miş (git-miş-ti), -iyor (sev-iyor), -di (gel-di) etc. Whereas this can be done with a clause or phrase in English added to a sentence that amplifies its meaning, such as for several hours in We waited for several hours; this is called an adjunct. Or it might be a derivational or inflectional affix, -formative in other words- which we might call as time affix. Now you tell me what you are after. A bit fiddly, inn'it?
