Hello, my brother, I don't think it is in the above meaning in our tounge. Props is an abbreviation derived from "proper" and "respects". For example ...

- A show sits on physical and non-physical props.
- At an award ceremony the winner gives props: "And I would like to thank..."

And 'to give me my props' means 'to give me my proper respect', it is usually done by tapping fists together.
